As her life spirals out of control, a rebellious undergrad begins practicing a forbidden witchcraft to help her grades; but when she unknowingly unleashes a deadly curse that threatens her father's life, she will be forced to pass her biggest test yet.
The horror familiarity and inconsistent logic choices work against a creative approach to the found footage format, though it's anchored by solid performances and a memorable conclusion.

...When I watched this movie for the first time I had to pause it and turn on the lights because I got too scared. It pulls the viewer into the story making you apart of the nightmare and for that this feels more like an experience than a movie.

Incantation is a brilliant horror movie, one that will leave you feeling a little lost and a lot traumatised in the end.

This is far and away the best horror feature in what has been an excellent year.
