Cellar Door

Come[s] together in its closing minutes and - no small compliment - will repay a second viewing. There's a cult out there waiting for Cellar Door.

With its committed performances and air of enigma, this is fertile terrain for a short film, but one which comes aground at feature length.

More an immersive experience than a film to passively watch, the deliberately splintered nature of Cellar Door may be off-putting to some. However, it does showcase Nikci's unique vision, and marks him out as a director to watch.

Cellar Door is a uniquely challenging but ultimately rewarding cinematic experience that is worth your attention span.
