Scare the weak. Rattle the strong. Leave no one behind. This fright fest is a credit to the genre.

The Backrooms part of Backrooms is great, well-rendered, and incredibly unsettling. Though the story supporting the film could use a little work, the production is overall an achievement.

The movie’s grip holds, even past the point where it’s clear no traditional explanation is coming to save the characters or us.

Backrooms never quiet satisfies narratively, but environmentally speaking it is a world unto itself. Glad I visited. Would hate to live there.
