Godless is a film made with enormous integrity and deep emotional intelligence, and brings to the table something we don’t see too much of in contemporary horror: compassion.

There’s no solace to be found here or any reprieve other than the respectable yet forceful condemnation of the zealots depicted. It makes for a powerful effort that’s less successful in its attempts to infuse a fictional horror movie with true crime.

With powerful performances and a genuinely upsetting conclusion, Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism competently conveys how humanity is worse than any imagined demonic monster.

Godless toys with horror and social denouncement, but unfortunately stays on the edge of it all. [Full review in Spanish]
