The attempt at semi-serious messaging in Queens on the Run clashes with the absurdist humor in genuinely funny scenes, like a mushroom trip gone bad or various car accidents.

The lightweight comedy fails to be funny.

Queens on the Run is awful, just awful. Like you’d do to a thin, flat rock you found on the beach, wrap your thumb and index finger around it and skip it.

Queens on the Run is a fun ride that suffers from a rough start but really glides through some great escalatingly ridiculous comedy, delivers a strong action finish, and lets its “women of a certain age” choose their own...destinies by the end.
