Critics consensus

“Freakier Friday doesn't reinvent the original's story so much as it swaps the formula around for a frothy good time, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan easily slipping back into roles that fit them like mixed-and-matched gloves.”

Including assorted TV spin-offs, this belated sequel to the popular 2003 remake of Freaky Friday is the studio’s seventh variation on the mother-daughter body-swap tale, and there’s not a lot of juice left in the idea.
