A fictional take on a real story, but full of heart and lovely moments

A warmhearted comedy and a classic baseball movie.

It’s a great piece of Hollywood confectionery, and you might well find yourself choking up a little at the end.

Although the denouement must once again wrestle with the introduction from the start, revisiting the decades-later troupe that absolutely doesn’t need to be involved, the film remains inspirational, motivational, nostalgic, sweet, and highly entertaining.
