This home invasion thriller boasts a creepy turn by R Madhavan but the script is too shaky to be genuinely memorable.

The best thing about Shaitaan is R. Madhavan playing the intruder from hell – literally. But horror films aren’t driven by logic. The joy is in being terrorized and this is where Shaitaan fails.

The trouble with this remake of Gujarati film Vash is that all the 'kaala-jaadu' trickery is ultimately strictly window-dressing to a hero vs. villain story.

Shaitaan is a bloated and bombastic horror movie that becomes increasingly ridiculous as the plot careens into a pathetic pit of stupidity. The movie's villain wants to take over the world, but there's no logic in how he goes about it in this lousy story.
