Storyline

Astrid Thompson finally succeeds in fulfilling her father's dream: to bring together four Stradivarius for a unique concert, eagerly expected by music lovers around the world. But Lise, George, Peter and Apolline, the four virtuosos recruited for the occasion, are incapable of playing together. The rehearsals are one ego crisis after another. With no solution in sight, Astrid decides to go and find the only person who, in her eyes, can still save the event: Charlie Beaumont, the composer of the score.

Modest in scope, it ultimately conveys, at its best, the unifying joy that great music-making can inspire.

...Grégory Magne once again composes a delightful comedy with a seemingly lighthearted feel that conceals a score far more complex than it initially appears. [Full review in Spanish]

The Musicians is an elegant comedy, thanks to its lighthearted tone, where a half-smile is more effective than a full-blown laugh. Its parody of artists' egos has a gentle and emotional core that avoids cynicism. [Full review in Spanish]

A feel-good French movie where the music of Gregoire Hetzel, who has composed soundtracks for Arnaud Desplechin and Mathieu Amalric, among others, is the star. [Full review in Spanish]
