The setpieces are sloppy and unexciting to the extreme, and most of them, like a low-energy fight aboard a double-decker bus, are shapeless to the point that they simply end instead of building to a climactic beat.

It’s aneven-worse study in lazy filmmaking, aggressively unfunny clichés, and bland action sequences.

This sequel barely makes the grade as escapism, but wash it down with holiday cheer, put your brain on low power, let forgiveness into your heart and it’s—sound the trumpets—passable.

Fun, but forgettable action.
