This book-based Norwegian film is a tearjerker that ends on a sweet note and holds helpful lessons for kids about dealing with loss and grief.

It's melancholy tone is a nice contrast to the typical sweet holiday fare

The film is beautifully made and wonderfully acted, and ultimately it offers a sense of hope... [However] be warned that as beautiful as this film is, it might rip your heart out.
