Storyline

In a remote part of New Zealand, lies a cold, dark and mysterious cave system with the potential to be the deepest dived cave in the world. It’s here that explorer and hero of the Thai cave rescue Richard “Harry” Harris is searching for a sense of self. There’s no question that this is the highest stakes dive he has ever attempted. Underground, underwater, with a finite amount of gas to breathe, it’s a dangerous game to play. So what drives Harry to continue in his pursuit when he knows the cost - not just to himself, but to those he loves - and will he make it back to them?

Deeper is a great account of an adventure. But it is also a study of a group of remarkable men and their families

Peedom taps the essence of a man who defies our inherent fear of death to constantly redefine his sense of self; why he does it, how he does it, and who he does it with makes for a moving, exciting plunge into deep, dark water and a determined psychology.

In the end, that’s what the film will leave you thinking about: the human cost of progress. “They should know when enough is enough,” says Fiona. “But will they?”

Deeper captures a team working behind the goals of one man and makes the story even richer in the process.
