This is a movie about people doing something they love. In this case, it’s mixing oatmeal, water and salt to make “the epitome of Scottish food”. They come from all over the world and from all walks of life. They are all wonderfully kooky.

Not surprisingly, music -- a bustling and busy orchestral score -- is used very effectively here to bolster the picture’s comic tone, but the main draw is its cast of lovable characters.

Filmmaker Constantine Costi manages to go from top to tail in a whip-cracking 75 minutes.

Absolute poetry from start to finish.
