Storyline

Jamal Wiggins is a lawyer at Tate and Wiggins, the law firm he co-founded with his college roommate and friend, Darren Tate. While he enjoys professional success, his personal life is strained by a sexless marriage to Shavonne, his wife of 15 years. He takes on a case representing Jada Campbell, whose husband was involved in a life-altering accident. Jada, a victim of verbal and emotional abuse from her husband, develops feelings for Jamal. He, in turn, succumbs to temptation and crosses a professional boundary, soon realizing his world may be on the verge of collapse.

Abbie Bernstein

RTAssignment XMay 12, 2025

Betray: Thirst goes for some melodrama, but it is ultimately more thoughtful and effective than many other films in this genre.

Federico Furzan

RTMovie-Blogger.comMay 9, 2025

Betray: Thirst has the dramatic drive to make you think, and in the indie-verse it's part of, that's enough.

Shikhar Verma

RTHigh on FilmsMay 2, 2025

Mixing the theme of infidelity with a legal backdrop and an underdeveloped and tame undercurrent of the frustration people feel when their needs are not met, Betray: Thirst is dull and inept, with no idea what exactly it wants to be.

Matthew Turner

RTAction ReloadedApr 18, 2025

This is ultimately a frustrating experience, since it squanders so much of its own potential and doesn’t really seem to know which story it wants to tell.
