"Goodbye June” is far from a catastrophe, but it’s perhaps a greater sin that the film would be far more interesting if it were.

It’s a story open to the syrupy and the sentimental, and it can’t quite escape the formulaic, despite an overqualified supporting cast...giving their all to the reconciliation dynamic underpinning the plot.

Goodbye June has some fine qualities, but it's flat when it should be compelling.

Goodbye, June is an imperfect film that looks at imperfect, ridiculous, loving, violent, contradictory families. [Full review in Spanish]
