Dollhouse

Fans of Shinobu Yaguchi who expect a work similar to his previous outputs will be disappointed, but "Dollhouse" is nonetheless an impressive effort yet again from the director, a fun horror that has enough scares, mood and narrative.

I very much enjoyed watching it.

Yaguchi’s Dollhouse is as great as conventional J-horror can get.

Dollhouse revitalizes J-Horror with haunting elegance — a chilling, emotional tale where grief becomes the true source of terror. Subtle, atmospheric, and deeply human, it reminds us that the scariest ghosts are the ones we create ourselves.
