The heroes aren’t terribly heroic, nor are they crafted with much originality or enjoyable idiosyncrasies; they mostly appear as if leftover or rejected forms from old sci-fi television series episodes.

...there's a degree of knowing wit in the dialogue that makes Battle Beyond the Stars a guilty pleasure...

An enjoyably inventive low-budget B-movie filled with action and interesting characters.
