The Last Spy tells [Peter Sichel's] life story. It would have much to recommend it at any time. The deafening echoes in the current Middle East crisis only make it more so.

This is a straightforward, scrupulously assembled documentary that pays tribute to retired spymaster Peter Sichel

In the pre-CIA from its founding thru WW2 and the Cold War, Peter Sichel at age 96+ revenges on CIA redactions with tell all, buttressed by director's inclusion of others and evidence, though there's a few lacunae.

A fascinating and wide-ranging history lesson that should make it a smart fit for documentary channels.
