It’s exceptionally silly, yet this softcore reimagining of The Wizard of Oz is redeemed by a handful of chuckles and Deutch’s resolutely sunny performance.

A constant joy from director David Wain, with gags of all kinds, shapes and sizes vying for your attention, and what should be a star-making performance from Zoey Deutch. Don’t pass on it because of the title.

Zoey Deutch brings infectious energy to David Wain’s absurd Hollywood comedy, but its hit-or-miss humor and unfocused satire keep this wild adventure from becoming the hilarious romp it wants to be.
