Bloody and irredeemably misanthropic.

Too competent as a Fargo-esque indie murder comedy to dismiss (yet too dull to fully embrace), the Canadian Just Buried yields serviceable results from material that's got rigor mortis.

Its ability to maintain such a pleasant facade in the midst of so much gruesomeness may be the creepiest thing about it.

More twee than any movie about serial murder has a right to be.
