I’m not going to claim any fandom or expertise when it comes to country music, and I don’t feel like this doc went particularly deep into who Wilson is or exactly what makes her tick, although I did find her a compelling documentary subject

Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool offers a solid profile of a musician who’s done the work to get where she is, and is trying to enjoy her success while staying true to what she’s always known.

This is a warm portrayal of a rising country star who opens up about mental health struggles and the challenges of making it in the music world.
