“Like the French farce it's based on, Three Men and a Baby is too self-satisfied with scatalogical humor to qualify as a bundle of joy, but the role of makeshift daddy brings out the best in Tom Selleck.”
The film works well despite its predictability, perhaps because of it. We can sit back and enjoy all the timeworn, sexist antics of three seasoned comic actors fumbling with formula and diapers, and a script that keeps its laughs on the dry side.

The charm, allure and hard work of the cast more than compensates for the structural gaps. Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg (and twins Lisa and Michelle Blair, who take turns playing the baby) interact exquisitely.

Three Men and a Baby is fluff, but it's agreeable enough if you're a in kitchy-coo state of mind.
