The Monts d'Arrée are located in inland Brittany, in the heart of the Armorique Regional Natural Park. It is an unforgiving land, long the victim of prejudice, a land of struggle where poverty and the harshness of life have instilled principles of survival and resistance in the face of the elements. Based on amateur archive footage held at the Cinémathèque de Bretagne, and a text inspired by an interview with Jean-Pierre Cloarec, written and narrated by Xavier Liébard: "Life in the Monts d'Arrée, from the 1930s to the present day."
