Stung

There's plenty of gooey insectivorous f/x, yet despite game contributions from all involved, nothing else in "Stung" goes quite far enough.

"Stung" is the worst kind of neo-exploitation film: the kind that encourages you to root for a good guy who is essentially a man-child until crisis mode kicks in, and he abruptly becomes Badass Grownupmin.

Unfortunately, the human relationships depicted here are less credible than the solid special effects.

This is an, at times, terrifying film that, refreshingly, does not rely on cheap jump scares.
