[Bhool Bhoolaiyan] is just a plain old ghost story, tarted up by loads of befuddling tantra, mantra and an [Kumar] Akshay whose connect with his audiences is more potent than any magic spell.

Kumar equates stripping to emoting whilst Ahuja and Balan share zero on-screen chemistry and look confused. Pretty Patel is reduced to an inexplicable cameo.

This Indian horror-comedy is an entertaining labyrinthine of a mystery that has earned a cult following.
