One-joke slapstick farce about a klutz who becomes useful during a kidnap investigation.

Veber's breakthrough, thanks to the inspired teaming of Richard and Depardieu -- and a brilliantly simple concept that doesn't stand up to (or ask for) very much scrutiny.

A funny French film filled with plenty of slapstick comedy.
