I suppose the purpose of the film is to humanize both sides. It succeeds only to a degree. We can sense what the film wants to say better than the film can say it.

This is powerful stuff but, like so many political abduction dramas, suffers from a certain static quality.

An intriguing, understated film that quietly brings up loud questions of honor, duty, ideals, and courage.
