Subsumed in Canada's vast landscape, Ben finds ephemeral distraction and occasional edification, but not much in the way of great epiphanies.

Joshua Jackson makes a likeable and [convincing] a turns in a strong performance as a man who has a premature mid-life crisis when he learns he's dying of cancer. But I wish I could feel the same affection for the script.

A philosophical road move with a serious hard-on for all things Canada, the feature is a patchy but satisfying ride to self-actualization.
