Mumford

Great characters, but for older teens and up.

A film without conviction, about a town full of people with problems without depth, aided by a guru without soul.

It turns the tricks of psychology into duplicitous high play.

Philosophically, it doesn't succeed at any goal that deep. But because it doesn't take itself too seriously (and because the interaction between its players is charming and smart), Mumford works as an example of harmless fun for smart audiences.
