The film is the feature debut of a former [Robert] Altman assistant, Lou Lombardo... Enough of Altman's idiosyncratic humour has rubbed off to make a very lively little entertainment out of a commonplace and not altogether coherent spy story.

Nothing in the film really works, not its humour nor its thrills.

...Any film that ends with George Segal climbing onto the roof of a hotel and shooting down a helicopter is a winner in my book...

It is supposed to be a suspense comedy, but all they really achieve is total confusion in the audience.
