Despite a few down-to-the-finish-line thrills and spills, there's little mystery as to how this film ends. Still, you'll find yourself cheering and enjoying a delicious case of goosebumps.

Iron Will is an Identikit plot, put together out of standard pieces. Even the scenery looks generic; there's none of the majesty of Disney's genuinely inspired dog movie, White Fang.

With its clean and dramatic lines, its glistening cinematography and its deep understanding of the bond between animals and people, Iron Will is the kind of film Disney is famous for -- the kind of movie, in short, both kids and parents love.

Coming-of-age tale for older kids and teens.
