Run

... a lucid and weirdly fashionable political drama...

Using agical realism sparingly, but effectively, Run is the story of one young man's contemporary experience of life in the Cote d'Ivoire.

Prophecy and politics are intertwined in a realm where strange and beautiful imagery takes on dark meaning, and violence and male posturing rules all.

A unique and powerful film, Lacôte demonstrates fine craft, and has assembled an extraordinary cast to tell a compelling, raw and revealing film. A bold look at an area of the world whose stories too seldom reach the international stage.
