An idealistic British drama school teacher, Jodi Rutherford, persuades a cynical South African farmer to prepare her for a role in a major film as an Afrikaans war heroine. RTThe Times (UK)Oct 8, 2015

The Irish-born actress Katie McGrath is in movie industry terms "so hot right now"... The less said about her new movie, however, the better.

RTGuardianOct 8, 2015

Both the blandest of romcoms and a film about film-making that displays zero feel for the way films are made.

RTCineVueApr 8, 2019

The script is so contrived, predictable and utterly cringeworthy that it is hard to care whether the two lovebirds will fly off into the sunset together.

[This] rom-com is peppered with an array of colourful characters.
