Fourteen-year-old Mackenzie is sent to live with her uncle in Juneau when her mother can’t care for her anymore. An uncommon and deeply sensitive take on this type of story.

The "Wildlike" landscapes are exhilarating, but when the film works, it's because of the interiors.

Green explores an atypical relationship between a solitary, 50-something man who finds that a vulnerable but determined kid has attached herself to him, no matter what, as he sets off into the wild.

Throw in two engaging performances from its leads‎ and it's a film worth talking about, especially considering how it's born out of a topic that so few do discuss.
