Equal parts fairy tale, lonely hearts romance, music-industry satire and kaiju spectacle, this is fun, far out and genuinely heartbreaking by turns.

This romantic, musical, comedy mixed with some kaiju goodness is as absurd as it gets, but it hits all the right emotional notes.

Love and Peace bounces from rock-n-roll cautionary tale to cheesy Muppets Christmas fable to rom-com to kaiju movie, never once landing on boring.

If there was one filmmaker that could take the word unpredictable home, it would have to be Sion Sono. "Love and Peace" is a prominent example of the fact.
