Storyline

As host of his own hit TV series, 'MAN VS', Doug Woods is forced to fend for himself for five days in remote locations with no crew, food, or water, only the cameras he carries on his back to film his experiences. Doug's in the remote woods for a routine episode, until he's awoken by an earth-shaking crash. Things get weirder as it becomes clear Doug isn't alone. Someone or something is watching him.

While the film's woodsy frights build competently, director Adam Massey's lack of finesse prevents the viewer's imagination from running as wild as need be.

Mixing 'found' and 'objective' footage as blithely as it blurs genres, Man Vs. starts small before revealing the place of humanity in an unforgiving universe.

With nothing to justify all its slow meandering towards a lacklustre conclusion, Man Vs. is barely mediocre, and ultimately mostly a huge disappointment.

Man Vs has a simple premise... a smart and tight script, shot economically with a compelling lead and blessedly sparing use of visual effects
