Mahogany

Even in its own recycled-tinsel terms, Mahogany is a series of missed opportunities.

With fashion and a passionate love story as a backdrop to a wonderfully acted narrative, Mahogany is simply fabulous.

Even a charming last-minute happy ending can't quite redeem all the mess and unidentified dread.

The movie has a few good things going for it once you exclude the acting, directing, plot, and theme.
