It's really more about the ability of Adrianna DiLonardo's script to elicit humor and surprise as the narrative unfolds, but instead it hews principally to predictability.

Almost Adults is really fun to watch. And it flips the script on a lot of classic lesbian movie tropes.

Is it a life-altering movie? Probably not, but that doesn't make it any less relatable or enjoyable to watch.

What makes Almost Adults refreshing is that it's reflexive of contemporary queer culture, albeit white centric, in a way that signals a shift in queer cinema.
