A well-crafted trifle.

Detective Chinatown gets a lot right, and serves up effective laughs and an interesting murder mystery, Chen Sicheng proving himself a capable helmer of commercial fare

It says much about the colourful characters, thrilling action and inventive visual effects that Chen Sicheng's odd-couple caper never gets tedious over its 135-minute duration.
