This swift, simple musical wasn’t enough of a vehicle to really propel Monroe toward stardom (Columbia canceled her contract after the film’s release), but it’s still a curious historical chapter in the icon’s career.

Low, low budget musical with oddly sympathetic characters.

Of interest only to fans of Marilyn.
