By the time blood flows and heads roll -- literally -- Tenants has already slipped and slid into the land of caricatures, offering comedy where it shouldn't.

Lusciously photographed and wildly uneven.

A great deal of mad, bad fun for the right viewer - while it might well turn off the average exploitation fan through its sheer weirdness, it's a bold slice of Grand Guignol

"The Tenants Downstairs" is a great film that combines exploitation aesthetics with technical artfulness, in a very entertaining package that highlights both Adam Tsuei and Giddens Ko's prowess.
