While I thoroughly enjoyed What Happened To Monday, I'm bothered by the film's failure to address a massive plot hole: birth control.

... a crowd-pleasing game of cat-and-mouse, jazzed up by sci-fi flourishes and a high concept.

Lands somewhere in a creative middle ground. Part fugitives-on-the-run thriller, part post-apocalyptic familial drama, Wirkola's latest is a perplexing amalgamation.

The setup may be of higher intellect, but the execution is primarily engaged with marketability; without pulse-pounding thrills (and brief but graphic sexuality), the filmmakers are afraid there won’t be audiences.
