When his home of New Eden is destroyed by a revitalized Brotherhood and its new Vamp leader, Martin finds himself alone in the badlands of America with only the distant memory of his mentor and legendary vampire hunter, Mister, to guide him.
The Stakelander is slightly repetitive and may not completely stack up to the first’s modest charms, but is definitely worth spending another eighty quick minutes with.

It's always nice catching up with old friends -- but it just feels a little disappointing. Some parts fall flat and the tension is missing.

Though it takes a while for the plot to cohere, the storyline offers plenty of action.

Berk and Olsen are fine stand-ins for Mickle, but without Damici, The Stakelander would be a tough sell. It's not a step up, more of a step-to-the-side, with great supporting performances (A.C. Peterson and Steven Williams in particular) and good action
