By taking the entire family's emotional journey into account, Rebekah Fortune has crafted a film that feels keenly realised and very much of the moment.

Just Charlie tackles the delicate subject of gender dysphoria with great sensitivity and grace.

Gilby is simply terrific as Charlie, offering a beautifully understated performance that never plays to stereotypes.
