No one is better at constructing hilarious, personal, soul-searching monologues of insecurity and Catholic guilt than Mike Birbiglia.

There's a delightful optimism that Birbiglia exudes in his work that's on full display in Thank God For Jokes.

A self-described "niche" brand, Birbiglia ambles around the stage and lands almost every joke while discussing "late people" versus "on-time people," the challenge of scratching an itch while handcuffed, and how he became a Muppets villain.

Now, focusing solely on jokes and paring back his storytelling delivery style, Birbiglia's Thank God for Jokes is finally everything for everyone; assuming everyone is a lover of genuinely perfect comedy.
