The visuals here are exquisite (watch out for a shot that shows the shadow of people walking alongside a water body) but director Gopi Nainar wastes no time in the aesthetics - he's here to make a strong point.

Stepping out of her comfort zone, Nayanthara shines in a very strong role. It's gutsy of her to shoulder a socio-political thriller on her own and she proves yet again that she's an actress of substance.

Yes it gets preachy often and melodramatic at times, but we cannot ignore the forcefulness with which Gopi drives home his points. This is a 'Message movie' with a capital M, but Aramm wears this tag proudly on its sleeves.
