The reef provides a colourful cast of supporting characters, and there's a heart-pounding sequence as a humpback whale fights to protect her calf from a pod of hungry orcas. The photography is magnificent throughout.

A satisfying entry in the Disneynature slate, albeit one where the dolphins in the title are upstaged by some of their supporting cast, and the reef itself is even more spectacular than the creatures who get the most screen time.

This an excellent way to spend time at home with your family... It is transporting. You will feel like you've gone to a different planet.

Dolphin Reef is not as action packed as Flipper - Echo does not help solve crimes or do a "tail walk" - but beautiful cinematography and engaging storytelling make its message of interconnected community - whether marine or human - resonate.
