Lovingly made on a tiny budget, "Island Zero" knows exactly what it wants to be and squeezes every penny.

Josh and Tess Gerritsen have focused on building their atmosphere of dread rather than on bombastic, balls-out horror and spectacle, and this makes all the difference.

Simple, effective, low-budget horror... from the creator of Rizzoli & Isles?

Island Zero is almost kept afloat by an enticing storyline and strong performances, but ultimately sinks once the creature design and endgame are revealed.
