The Strings

The Strings is a horror movie which may divide audiences and those looking for answers and a satisfactory conclusion may be disappointed.

Rough at the edges, emotionally raw, this is more of a poem than a conventional narrative film. It’s a must-see for Johnston’s fans and will no doubt acquire cult status in years to come.

Aside from the score, The Strings also excels visually, featuring more than a few stunning wide shots...

It might take some time to get going, but once it does, it rewards your patience by creating a horrifyingly hypnotic, low-key descent into the unknown that will crawl right under your skin.
