Affected by a competent but impersonal CGI animation and, of course, unable to convey the emotion of real actors, 'Traitor of Mars' works as a noisy and decaffeinated substitute for the first film. [Full Review in Spanish]

The film was set in a futuristic world where mankind was engaged in a galactic war with giant alien insectoids. It was the perfect blend of camp, propaganda, testosterone and violence.

It's not overly engaging, and other than in its politics it doesn't say an awful lot.

Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars will not score high points for originality. The action is okay for what it is, but aside from the villain, Neumeier relies too much on nostalgia instead of forging ahead.
